"Six" made its official debut on London’s West End in 2019. It had a well-received run until the pandemic obstructed events for most of 2020.
The musical-comedy has continued to grow in popularity and was part of tours across the world. It finally moved to New York City, where it was the first new show to begin performing on Broadway after COVID-19.
It continues to travel across the U.S.A. and the world today. An fascinating twist to the production of "Six" was that Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss used actual pop stars to model the characters. They used inspiration from singers like Beyoncé, Jennifer Hudson, Adele, Celine Dion, Rihanna, Ariana Grande, and Alicia Keys for the character creation.

If we're honest, no one could have predicted being a massive fan of a performance that parodies the lives of the wives of Henry VIII and imagines them rocking a musical! The knowledge that you're going to want to fully enjoy this production is in your old textbooks. That might make an intriguing experience even before you arrive at the theater because it could be a great idea to refresh your memory of what happened with each of Henry's wives before you make it out to Providence Performing Arts Center on Saturday 25th October 2025. That way, you'll catch all of the inside jokes and the jabs, particularly between Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn.
